Remote Control Helicopters
This Christmas on QVC they were selling this helicopter that they were hawking could fly. They had a demonstration and it showed this helicopter being lifted off the ground, the price of this helicopter was around $ 40.00. When the helicopter arrived it was made out of Styrofoam and the blades were made out very thin cardboard. The premise of this product was that it was supposed to fly.
Well, we will give it that much it did fly, it does get off the ground but it does not go anywhere except up. The copter came down on the blade not too hard and the blade broke. It rips and crumbled. The copter has to be landed so carefully as to not break the blades. But the helicopter is for kids and it should be made a little more durable than Styrofoam and cheap cardboard especially for $ 40.00.
So if you are in the market for a helicopter do not shop QVC. Find one that the blades are made from more than cardboard. Get your moneys worth and don’t throw it down the drain. Your money should go farther than the copter. This is not one of those times where you get what you pay for because for $ 40, this copter should last after one or two bad landings. The money you spent on the copter you could have gotten a durable copter that can withstand the bad landing or two.
